Big city = a lot of people. A lot of people = a lot of ideas for fashion. One of my secret guilty pleasures is looking at bags, shoes, outfits of people in the metro, on my way to or from work. Especially bags are my target lately, because I want to buy a new one and I'm looking for a model (on a real model ;) ) that will make my heartbeat faster.
We all participate in fashion industry, whether we like it or not. For some it's a duty, for others it's a pleasure, or a compulsive reflex, or just a part of everyday routine. While stalking girls' bags I actually came to some conclusions : there are different types of people who are interested in/obsessed with/like/love/whatever fashion. Always up-to-date lovers know what's hot and what's not. Their goal is to follow the trends and not to be left behind with outfits from previous season. They'll know which designer proposes what for Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter, and not only what to wear when, but also what to listen to, where to go and what to see. Details lovers focus on accessories. Their bags, shoes and jewellery (or details on the jacket, etc.) play the main role in the fashion play. Drama lovers believe that fashion has to speak loud, with intense colors and drastic cuts. What they want from their clothes is intense and dramatic effect that makes pedestrians stopping and staring at them. True to style lovers decide to stay faithful to narrow path and be picky shoppers. That's a difficult love but makes you recognizable.
Oh, it's a broad topic! It's amazing how many personal filters are working inside our heads to make us choose one clothes, not the other! And how somebody's amazing piece of art can be just an awful cloth for the other.
