Misery/Obstinacy

What are the advantages of misery? Probably you'll answer: absolutely none. Are you sure? Because there must be a reason why sometimes I enjoy so much to stay in miserable condition, just thinking again and again about my pitiful situation, doing nothing else but sobbing and trying to recall all the reasons why I should stay upset. How crazy it sounds...but didn't you do the same at least once in your lifetime?

Fortunately (?) nothing lasts forever and even misery has its limits. And together with those limits comes glorious thought: there's more in this life. More to be discovered, to be watched, to be experienced. And that's the sign of life still pulsing in you-if you want, miss, desire, wish. Be obstinate enough to reach for what you want, obstinate to believe that there's always sun coming out after storm.
