I think quite often about artists, who were creating at the same time as f.ex. Leonardo da Vinci or Pablo Picasso. About thousands of young people who finish art universities each year. Where are they? Where are their pieces of art? Why we don't learn about them? I don't believe that only those artists, who are in books were talented in their time. But the rest is on a margin of history...
When I get lost somwhere in the middle of a lecture, I start to draw. It's typical, I know. Can you imagine an exhibition of workbooks with margin art? I checked 'margin art' on the internet and, surprisingly, I found something about it on http://wikibin.org/articles/margin-art.html :
"Margin Art is a modern art form. The term was first coined by Ryan Duffy as a means of descibing all scribbles sketches and often very creative art work in the margin space on page, copybook, etc...
Often this work goes unnoticed and uncredited and occasionally carries sanctions if discoverd by the wrong aouthorites.
It will often allow you into a persons mind for a spilt moment.
This can usually be bought on by boredom due to an incompetant lecturer teacher or meanial task.
It is an art form every person capable of daydreaming can master with ease. There are no rules as to what qualifies as margin art."

Neverending story
Still lot of work to do, still long way to the goal, still so many things to learn... Will I have enough time? Or maybe it's not about reaching goals, maybe it's about effort you put into reaching them?
Long road behind me, long in front of me. "All I can do is try",as Nelly Furtado sings. I'll graduate soon. Time to make some summary. Did I reach my goals? If I did at least half of what I planned?

School is cool, old school is even cooler
We went on a school trip. Us, serious students of fifth year, almost graduates, had fun like kids in primary school. Honestly, I don't like visiting churches and castles, becouse I quickly forget them, all merge into one black whole in my head with a title "I was there, but I don't remember it". But this time I was positively surprised with the multiplicity of inspiration. Sometimes we find real diamonds in places (or persons!) that we didn't expect.

You never know...
Hey there! Are you a human being? Then be prepared for miracles in your life. Not like: "Oh, this time the bus came on time, it's a miracle", but REAL miracles. Striking coincidences, chance meetings, unbelivable adventures. Spring is here, everything is possible! Perfect time to do general cleanup in your room, wardrobe, in your head. Discard sad memories and old fears, dust your dreams and secret wishes, make space for new. Start again living a life you always wanted to.
My latest discovery- how relaxing, spontaneous and inspiring are good old forms of spending time with friends, f.ex.dressing up in funny clothes, playing games from childhood, picnics, campfires, matches, etc.

Blinded by the lights
People not only run on food. It seems we have sun batteries installed behind our eyes or under skin (?). A little of sun can work better than coffee/chocolate/prozac.
Sunlight can't be overestimate, we need it for life. What with night lights, then? They fascinate me, hypnotize me. I like to observe glowing windows and wonder why people behind them aren't asleep yet?
My Night Meditation, Light Meditation.

Doodle components? Piece of paper + something to write + boredom.
Drawing components? Piece of paper + something to draw + inspiration.

Owl deer!
What is the phenomenon of owls? I see them a lot lately, they seem to become favourite subject for illustrations circulating on the internet (so I decided to post one of mine too). They infiltrated from the internet to the reality-I saw many of them in a shop with jewellery today. It's like owl's invasion! Nice change from sweet kitties, puppies, butterflies, etc.

Happy Men's Day!
Today in Poland we have Men's Day.
Drawing men is different than ladies. How to show strenght, energy, resoluteness? I try to do that by quick moves of markers, felt-tip pens, pencils or thick crayons. Pictures above are the only one I've got of men. Hmm...Maybe it's about time to have a break from women's drawings and workout guys?

Shapeless
Everything loses shape sometimes...
...and I'm not talking here about my tummy ;) Rather about my humanity, existence, plans, thoughts, inspirations. Deconstruction of old ways of being, thinking brings new solutions and ideas. Like a lizard loses skin, deer antlers, dog hair, we lose/transform our believes, methods.
Most of the moments seem to be shapeless, but then comes a moment of maximum concentration on fascinating goal, task. You're focused, you know that you can do it, that you want to do it, that you're doing it well! Thing about life, passion is to wait patiently and prepare in a meanwhile for that moments-like a lion preparing to jump!

Shoes for flying
I hate buying shoes. That's one thing.
The other is a story from highschool times. A month ago, on my favourite latino party, I met acquaintance and her friend. And that girl told me:"So you're the girl from the marten's story?!". Wow, I'm already a legend?! ;)
It was in the first class of highschool. I was fascinated by youth subcultures and decided that Martens will be perfect sign of my interests and my need for being more rebel. The problem was I hadn't money for them, so I decided to draw projects, send them to the Martens company and maybe I'll be lucky enough to get a pair. I drew Martens covered with puzzles, yellow banana on green background, with no smoking sign, splashed with different colour paint, etc. Unfortunately I don't remember all of them and I don't have any pictures left. But anyway... They wrote me back! That they like my projects and would like to see more. In the next mail they offered me pair of shoes-I was in seven heaven! But when the package came, I was a little disappointed...I expected crazy shoes with flower pattern and I got navy blue with metalic shine. And the first road to school in them... They pinched my heels so badly! I don't know if they were to big or I didn't tend them well, but they cracked in few places. Now their role is to keep doors from my room open ;)
And to remind me, that I can make my dreams come true!

Show me your profile, I'll tell you who you are
How many profiles on different community portals do I have? To many I forgot password or forgot that I ever created an account there. I left many signs of my presence on the internet, many virtual rubbish, like we leave litters or broken branches in reality. In the past people would leave a monument, a statue, a book, a poem, an idea, an invention, etc. as a sign of their presence in the world of living. What will we leave? "Tons"of virtual wastage-mainly our wasted time, wasted chances for something real.
Mahatma Gandhi said "Whatever you do will be insignificant, but it is very important that you do it" Isn't that fascinating? Human's need to do something, to create...

Face to face
How many things are written on our faces! Our stories, our characters, our feelings. Some have poker face, some have face like open book-you can read everything. Some say, that eyes are soul's mirror, some blush.
I read somewhere that right half of our face is the side that we show to others, and left shows who we really are inside. I don't know if it's trustworthy information, but it made me observing people's faces and comparing their halves. Fascinating that we aren't symmetrical and how different our halves are.
Have you noticed that usually things we'd like to change in our faces are the one that other people find peculiar and special?
