Summer, summer, summer!
Summer is in the air. Air is sweet from acacias. My works caught more colours and light. I'm passionately glueing collages since yesterday. Last day of May today! Last days of my studies. Last homeworks, exams, deadlines. I'm dreaming of a...White Christmas? No, no! ;D Not yet, now I'm dreaming of an orange dress. This summer will be orange! Oh, how I want, miss, need sweet summer laziness... Walks without a goal, morning swimming in the lake, gallons of ice cream, dresses, dragonflies encountered in the forest, train trips. Summer storms, rainbows (maybe double? ;)), magic moments of meditation somewhere in nature.
Summer: Reactivation!

Naivete
Some artists outface with their perfection and cause a feeling in you, that you'll never be good enough. Some artists, like Chagall, Klimt, Kahlo, Nolde just created, expressed what they had in minds, hearts, even if their art might seems naive. Yes, they had solid skills, they practiced a lot, but they protected their individuality and freshness.
Naivete. Do we need to be allknowing and always trendy? I don't even think it's possible, so why we're still pretending that nothing can surprise us? The ability of being enchanted is one of the most beautiful and human thing. What enchants me lately? Sketches of Hieronim Skurpski, Polish artist, taste of mustard, music found on fb profiles of my friends and the fact that summer will come soon!

Hoyden
Poor guys, we stolen from their wardrobes trousers, suits, hats, even ties and even bow-ties and they can't pay back! Well, they try, but that doesn't look as well as our "crime" :)
Life has its unchangeable rules and is giving us homeworks to be done. One of them is childhood. You know, with all childish games and stupidities, small secrets and great adventures, mystery treasures and perfect hides, with soap bubbles, strawberry Mamba, swings, etc. Now I'm almost a graduate and I realized, that this homework is still undone! I decided not to postpone it any longer and do part of it today. Wandering along unknown paths? Eating whole bag of favourite cakes? Done! :)

Hats off? Hats on!
Unwittingly I chose very trendy topic of my thesis- hats. While I was reading the history of hats, I regreted that the habit of wearing them disappeared. There were times when no one went out without a hat! But, actually, I don't remember when there were so many hats in shops like this season! Rakish straw hats (my must-have for the summer!), elegant broad-brimmed hats (I got white one for my b-day!), boyfriend's caps, etc. Today I went to the museum archives to make notes about the collection of hats from the interwar period. Twelve hats, each one different, some looking like new, some very damaged. I was delighted, felt like someone gave me original "Gioconda" to work with. I thought ;"I'd love to make something that will become a topic of someone else's thesis, something that will enchant someone from the future like these hats enchant me." Unfortunatelly I couldn't make photos, but when I'll get them from museum, I'll try to illustrate them. Ah!
Another wonderful thing I was amazed yesterday... And also for the thesis- fashion illustration from '20s and '30s... Etienne Drian, George Lepape, Paul Iribe, A.E. Marty, George Barbier, Umberto Brunelleschi... My new idols! Fashion illustration rocks my world! <3

Icon vs icon
My sister.
Before invention of TV the only icons were those from the Orthodox east. Nowadays? Carousel with icons of pop culture- Marylin Monroe, Coca-Cola, Mickey Mouse, Barbie, Andy Warhol, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Harry Potter, McDonalds, etc. Which one do you choose for youself? Do we really identify with what we call an icon? How can you identify with food or plastic doll? I've read about so many style icons, that I forgot which one to follow. Overused words become meaningless. What do you really give, when you give your word? A guarantee or empty word? What do you really mean when you say you love? hate? know? understand? care?

Great water
Lake is perfect for calming down. I just sit and watch it and the storm in my head passes by.
When I need to let go something big- worry, situation, person- I need a trip to visit the Sea.
"To dip feet in the Ocean" is one of the points on my To-Do-In-Life-List.
Rain cleans my soul and cleaned the city today.

Less seriously
If "Smoking causes cancer and heart diseases" then Seriousness causes depression and dissatisfaction.
Prescription: lose gravity!
Notes from today:
* Odd feeling- play in the playground as an adult...but so fascinating.
* Show "your" city to someone with your memories, your paths, your small discoveries, not with the guidebook.
* Participating in student's parade with trumpets, baloons, pipes, funny costumes, banners, seeing old people and small kids waving at you, making noise and revive the city for one day- priceless.

One more time!
One more time, we have to try one more time! Everything that we do, our lives are not about defeats and successes- they're about not giving up. Too many thoughts left unspoken will rot and make us unhappy. We have to speak, we have to write, we have to express!

Blue May
Come on, it's May! Why it's raining? Why it's cloudy? Where's the blue sky? Why it makes me feel blue?

Oldies Goldies
Sometimes I dream about skipping few years of my life and waking up already retired- having a lot of time, lot of wisdom, less problems and that calm attitude, that "Everything gonna be alright". I like my grandmother's hands- wrinkled, slippy, cold but warm. Once I asked her for an advice for life. I thought she'll tell me something about God,but no, she said that it's important to be yourself and to smile. That's all...

Medicine for Procrastination
Is there any medicine for Procrastination? Is Procrastination something new or as human as breathing? Or maybe humanity became so lazy that they had to think of an excuse for that? Work=satisfaction. "Your life has a value proportional to your efforts."
My hands are dark from dyes for textiles- I'm working on my diploma annex. I think something interesting might come out of it...

The best month of the year!
Very very old drawing...but still one of my favourites!
Dear May, I love U becouse:
1. Air smells like raspberry Mamba
2. Lakes are calm and tranquilizing
3. Everything seems to be possible
4. People smile more often
5. I have my B-day
6. Trees are giving shadow and blossoms
7. Birds are giving concerts in the mornings
8. Mornings start earlier and evenings last longer
9. People play loud music from their windows

Decisions
Yoghurt or whipped cream on your pancake?
Skirt or trousers?
Message or call?
Continue studies or go to work?
Cut hair or let them grow?
Be tough or fall into pieces?
Copy or create?
Vegetate or live?
