Face mosaic

Our everyday routine- face mosaics in buses, shops, schools, corridors, houses, streets. Most of them foreign. Most of them expressing indifference. Most of them forgotten faster than noticed.

Waiting for the cake

How to bake a  cake in the dorm's kitchen? You have to mix endless amounts of patience, pinch of luck and ingredients from the recipe. Don't add expectation, that it will be ready in 40 minutes, as it says in the recipe! Mine is baking already 40+25+30+15 = 110 minutes :/
Another recipe: How not to write your thesis? It's very simple, just mix sweeping the floor, baking a cake, sitting on fb, answering mails, washing dishes, preparing and eating dinner...and other time-eaters that you can possibly imagine ;)

Man locked in his signature

Quite long way from learning the alphabet, then how to write, through "perfectly" shaped letters in primary school, till now, till my handwriting, my own signature. How many signatures did I leave on a paper during my life? Innumerable... It's so easy to leave a trace of your existence, but it's also so easy to leave it unnoticed.  What is the quality of traces we leave? Is it a plastic bag blowing in the wind? A good memory in someone's head? Marble monument? Idea implanted in few heads? Grass trampled for a while?
Is it better not to leave anything, than to add another rubbish to this huge wasteland called Earth? Pass unnoticed than to make a noise?

Crime weapon

No matter how talented you are or how much you love art and creating. Sooner or later you'll commit a crime, something will go wrong, you'll profane the whiteness of paper, your tools will become crime weapon...
It's inevitable, it's necessary. In creating process you can't lose humility before something bigger, something amazing that pushes you to create.

The word on Sunday

Drawing was made in winter, but nothing changed now, when it's spring. Looks like favourite colours of Poles are black, brown and grey. If someone would like to define people from Poland based on our appearence, he must conclude that we're sullen and uninteresting... Dear nationals...more colours on our streets, please!

Drawing vs Painting

"If you love something let it go. If it comes back to you, it's yours. If it doesn't, it never was."

Respect for painters! After last night marathon (I stayed till 5 am) I'm sure that I definetely prefer drawing and that if I want to paint, there is still lot of work to do. Painting ain't as easy as you might think! To tame paint and brush, to persuade them to reflect your vision is certainly not easy!  Years of practice, I guess... Some of my friends say painting is very relaxing, they like to do it in their free time. Freaks... ;) There's nothing better than pencil creaking on a paper, free line that determines the shape and simplicity in it.
